HAFT
• Assemble
the
countershaft gears.
The
circlip @ locating
the
2nd drive gear ® in position should be fitted before
the
circlip ©
is
fitted
in
the
shaft groove.
• When mounting circlip, pay attention
to
the
direction
of
the
circlip. Fit it
to
the
side where
the
thrust
is
as shown
in
the
figure with
the
rounded side against
the
gear surface.
NOTE:
Always use a
new
cire/ip.
CAUTION:
Never reuse a circlip
after
a circlip has been removed from a
shaft. A used circlip should
be
discarded and a new circlip
must be installed.
When installing a new circlip, care must be taken
not
to
expand
the
end gap larger
than
required
to
slip
the
circlip over
the
shaft.
After installing a circlip, always insure
that
it
is
completely
seated in its groove and securely fitted.
DRIVE
SHAFT
• Slide
the
bushing @ over
the
shaft with its oil holes aligned
with
the
drive shaft oil holes.
• Assemble
the
drive
shaft
gears, countershaft gears and
the
following shifter parts
on
the
transmission case:
Shifting cam shaft
CD;
Shifting forks
<ID
& ®; Shifting fork
@ and Shifting fork shafts
@ &
®.
