The communication module is used for linking the safety control station with external devices
through the communication lines to convert the signals for data exchange.

ypes and External View of Communication Modules
The following types of communication modules are available:
• ALR111: RS-232C communication module
• ALR121: RS-422/RS-485 communication module
• ALE111: Ethernet communication module
When using ALE111, use the style S1 module with unit revision U:2 or later. The unit revision
is indicated on the top of the module. However
, the unit revision is not indicated if it is U:0.
