Loss of Brake performance
1.
Plastic body panels damaged
•
Replace with new plastic
body panel
•
Check for any supports that
may be damaged, deformed.
•
Install new warning labels
and decals.
2.
Bumper Damaged
•
Replace with a new bumper
•
Check for any supports that
may be damaged or
deformed, or if repainting is
necessary before installation
of the new bumper.
3.
Skid plate damage
•
Replace with a new skid
plate
•
Check the gearbox and
differential of the front and
rear axle for damage or
leakage.
Brake System Inspection
1.
Locked up brake system
•
Inspect the brake rotors for
excessive runout.
•
Inspect the brake calipers
and brake levers for damage,
corrosion or deformity.
•
Check for brake rotor
wear. Has it exceeded
the wear limit.
•
Check for brake pad
wear. Is the master
cylinder locked up? Has
debris gotten into the
pad area?
3.
Grinding Noise or Brake disc
Glowing red during use.
•
Check the brake rotor
for damage or
deformity.
•
Check brake linkages
for damage.
•
Check brake master
cylinder for damage or
debris causing a locked
up condition.
•
Check brake Pads for
wear, damage, or
debris.
•
Rear Brake, check the
parking brake linkage,
for damage or debris.
4.
Brakes pulling to the side at
high speed braking.
•
Check if the front brake
activation is even left
and right.
•
Check if the rear wheels
are locking up before
the front wheels.
•
Check that the adjusters
on the front shocks are
at the same level.
