Chassis
Disassembling the Water Pump
1.
Remove the rubber damper holder
(1)
And the rubber damper (2).
Be careful not to scratch the
impeller shaft.
2.
Remove the water pump seal (1)
from the water pump housing (2) by
tapping it out from the inside of the
water pump housing.
3.
Remove the bearing (1) and the oil
seal (2) from the water pump
housing (3) by tapping them out
from the outside of the water pump
housing.
Inspecting the Water pump
1.
Inspect the water pump housing
cover (1), the water pump housing
(2), the impeller (3), the rubber
damper (4), the rubber damper
holder (5), and the O-ring (6).
Look for cracks, damage or wear.
2.
Inspect the water pump seal (1), the
oil seal (2), and the water pump
hoses (3) for cracks, damage or
wear.
3.
Measure the impeller shaft fitment
using a straight edge measure for
tilt.
Max. Impeller shaft tilt
0.15 mm (0.006 in)
