8680i User Guide 55
If you want to set additional low priority symbologies, scan FF, then scan the 2 digit
hex value from the Programming Chart for the next symbology. You can program
up to 5 low priority symbologies. Scan Save to save your selection. Default = None.
Preferred Symbology Time-out
Once you have enabled Preferred Symbology and entered the high and low priority
symbologies, you must set the time-out period. This is the period of time the 8680i
searches for a high priority bar code after a low priority bar code has been encoun-
tered. Scan the bar code below, then set the delay (from 1-3,000 milliseconds) by
scanning digits, then the Save bar code from the Programming Chart on page 235.
Default = 500 ms.
Preferred Symbology Default
Scan the bar code below to set all Preferred Symbology entries to their default val-
ues.
Output Sequence Overview
Output Sequence Editor
This programming selection allows you to program the 8680i to output data (when
scanning more than one symbol) in whatever order your application requires,
regardless of the order in which the bar codes are scanned. You can define up to 15
bar codes in an output sequence.
Note: To make Output Sequence Editor selections, you’ll need to know the code I.D., code
length, and character match(es) your application requires. Use the alphanumeric
symbols in the Programming Chart (page 235) to enter these options. You must hold
the trigger while reading each bar code in the sequence.
