6.4 Installing the Sample Inlet Filter
Micro GC Fusion is shipped with an external 10 micron sample inlet filter assembly,
one dual-ended ferrule per sample inlet, and extra replacement filter disks.
The sample inlet filter cannot be installed if the Integrated Sample Conditioner
is installed. The Integrated Sample Conditioner has a 7 micron filter that
provides the same particle filtering capability as the 10 micron filter.

6.4.2 Tools Required
• Two 7/16 in. wrenches
• One 5/16 in. wrench
6.4.3 Sample Inlet Filter Assembly Installation

Shut off sample flow to Micro GC Fusion.

Reduce the temperature of the sample inlet by loading a method that has a low
sample inlet temperature (below 60°C).
WARNING
Micro GC Fusion has a heated inlet which is hot to the touch.

Wait for Micro GC Fusion sample inlet to cool.

Disconnect any sample line to Micro GC Fusion input fitting using a 5/16 in.
wrench.
