9.6 Setting of baud rate and node address (node ID)
Baud rate
For establishing a communication, all devices must use the same baud rate for the
data transfer.
z
The baud rate can be set via the coding switch at the module.
Node address
Each node of thenetwork must be assigned to a node address, also called
Node ID
within a range of 1 ... 63 for clear identification.
z
A node address in a network may be used only once.
z
Thenodeaddressmustbesetwiththecodingswitchatthemodule.

1. Switch off the voltage supply of the module.
2. Use the coding switch to set the required baud rate.
Select 9x (x = value for the required baud rate)
3. Switch on the voltage supply of the module.
The LEDs ER, RD and BA are blinking with a frequency of 1 Hz.
4. LEDs ER and BA go off after 5 seconds, and the set baud rate is stored.
