Monitoring ICG
15-5
15.6.2 Placing ICG Sensors
Appropriate sensor placement is important for good signal quality and accurate
measurements. Attach ICG sensors to the patient as shown below:
1. Two neck sensors placed on each side of the neck, directly below the earlobe.
2. Two thorax sensors placed on each side of the thorax, level with the xyphoid process
and in line with the midaxillary line. Each pair of sensors should be opposite directly to
each other (180°) as shown in the figure above.
15.6.3 Setting up the Patient Information
1. Select the ICG parameter window to enter the [ICG Setup] menu.
2. Select [Patient Demographics >>].
3. Select [Height] and [Weight] and then select the appropriate settings. The patient’s
height and weight are important for ICG monitoring. The system will automatically
check them when an ICG module is connected. If no values are entered or the entered
values do not meet the requirements, corresponding prompt messages will be given in
the ICG parameter window.
4. Enter other parameters. PAWP, CVP, PA mean and Art mean are obtained from IBP.
The Art mean is obtained from either IBP Art or NIBP Mean. If these values cannot be
obtained automatically, you can enter them manually.
