Verify the calculated safety reaction times for all safety chains to confirm that they satisfy the required
specifications.
If a calculated safety reaction time exceeds the required specifications, consider the following mea-
sures and correct the software or hardware design.
• Shorten the safety task period.
Example: Reduce the size of the safety program.
Reduce the number of Safety I/O Units.
• If an EtherCAT Coupler Unit is used, shorten the task period in the NJ/NX-series CPU Unit.
Refer to the NJ/NX-series CPU Unit Software User’s Manual (Cat. No. W501) for detailed task set-
tings for an NJ/NX-series CPU Unit.
