nutagainstthewasherandthemountingbracket
tolockinposition.
Thelocknutshouldbetightenedsufcientlyto
securelyholdthedisplayinposition.Donot
overtighten.
Note:Thesuppliedgasketprovidesaseal
betweentheunitandasuitablyatandstiff
mountingsurfaceorbinnacle.Thegasketshould
beusedinallinstallations.Itmayalsobe
necessarytouseamarine-gradesealantifthe
mountingsurfaceorbinnacleisnotentirelyatand
stifforhasaroughsurfacenish.
5.6Surfacemountingthecardreader

1.Checktheselectedlocationfortheunit.Aclear,
atareawithsuitableclearancebehindthepanel
isrequired.
2.Beforemodifyingthemountingsurface,refer
tothedimensionssuppliedinthisdocumentto
ensurethereisenoughspacefortheunitand
cable.
3.Fixthesuppliedmountingtemplatetothe
selectedlocation,usingmaskingorself-adhesive
tape.
4.Drill4holesasindicatedonthemounting
templatetoacceptthexings.
5.Usinga40mm(1.6in)holecutter,drilloutthe
cut-outareaidentiedonthemountingtemplate.
6.Ensurethatthecardreadertsintotheremoved
areaandthenremoveroughedges.
7.Afxthesuppliedgasketontotherearofthecard
readerandpressrmlyontotheange.
8.Feedthecablethroughtheholeandconnectto
themultifunctiondisplay’scardreaderconnector.
9.Secureusingthexingsprovided.
10.Insertthecardreaderlabeloverthetopofthe
cardreaderslotssothatthemountingscrew
locationsarecovered.
Note:Theappropriatetighteningtorqueanddrill
bitsizetousedependsonthethicknessofthe
mountingsurfaceandthetypeofmaterialitis
madefrom.
