LIN Trigger (Option)
DS4000E can trigger on the sync field or the specified identifier, data or frame of LIN
signal. This function is optional. If you need to use it, please order the
SD-AUTO-DS4000 option and then install it correctly.
The frame format of the LIN bus is as shown in the figure below.

Press MENU (in the trigger control area (TRIGGER) at the front panel) Type, turn
the multi-function knob to select “LIN” and press the knob. You can also press
Type continuously to switch to “LIN” trigger.
At this point, the trigger setting information (include the trigger type, trigger source
and trigger level, as shown in the figure below) is displayed at the upper-right side of
the screen and changes with the trigger setting.
1. Specify the trigger source and adjust the trigger level
1) Press Source to select CH1 to CH4 (please refer to “Trigger Source”).
The trigger source currently selected is displayed at the upper-right side of
the screen.
Note: Channels that are turned off can also be selected as the trigger
source.
2) Turn TRIGGER
LEVEL to adjust the trigger level (please refer to
“
Trigger Level”). The current trigger level is displayed at the upper-right
side of the screen.
2. Select the protocal version
Press Version, turn the multi-function knob to select the version matched
with the signal measured. You can also press Version continuously to switch
the protocol version.
