Chapter 3
Mechanical and Electrical Installation
Perform the steps in this chapter after the steps in Prepare for Installation on
page 33. The installation of the configured bays and other components of the
PowerFlex® 755T Drives Configured to Order Program consists of the
following principal tasks:
• Unpack the product and prepare it for installation
• Mechanically install the bays
• If your product includes multiple shipping sections, make the electrical
interconnections between the bays that are part of different shipping
sections
• Make the electrical connections to the input power supply and motor
(Chapter 4 on page 93
)
Perform the steps in this chapter in the order listed:
Remove Side and Top
Packaging
If there is any packaging on the sides and top of the shipping section, remove
it. Packaging may include plastic wrapping and a wood crate. Save any
documentation packaged in the plastic wrapping.
