Engine Mechanical: 1D-49
Starter System
• Install the starter driven gear, starter idle gear No.1
and No.2. Refer to “Starter Clutch Removal and
Installation in Section 1I (Page 1I-9)”.
Generator
• Install the generator component parts (1). Refer to
“Generator Removal and Installation in Section 1J
(Page 1J-5)”.
Speedometer Gearbox
• Apply grease to the sliding part of the gear.
: Grease 99000–25010 (SUZUKI SUPER
GREASE A or equivalent)
• Fit a new gasket (1) and install the speedometer
gearbox.
CAUTION
!
Use new gasket to prevent oil leakage.
• Apply thread lock to the bolts and tighten them to the
specified torque.
: Thread lock cement 99000–32110
(THREAD LOCK CEMENT SUPER 1322 or
equivalent)
Tightening torque
Speedometer gearbox bolt (a): 10 N·m (1.0 kgf-m,
7.0 lb-ft)
Starter Cup
• Apply grease to the to the O-ring and lip of the oil seal.
• Install the starter cup (1).
: Grease 99000–25010 (SUZUKI SUPER
GREASE A or equivalent)
• Tighten the starter cup nut with a suitable bar.
Tightening torque
Starter cup nut: 38 N·m (3.8 kgf-m, 27.5 lb-ft)
