Do not use the tractor on bridges or crossings that are unstable and/or have loose bottom or
insuciently strong. Do not use the tractor on bridges or crossings that are unstable and/or have loose
bottom or insuciently strong.
Do not use the tractor beyond its dynamic stability limits. High speed, harsh driving and narrow bends
run at high speed increase risk of tipping over.
Do not use the tractor for towing or extraction jobs if you do not know the extent of pulling eort, like
for instance in log pulling. The tractor could roll over to the back if the log is hard to pull.
Pay utmost attention when using the tractor on piles of silage products with no cement boundaries. To
increase tractor side stability you can either install twin wheels or increase track.
Be careful since tractor centre of gravity could shift upward while lifting loads with the front loader or
three-point hitch. In these conditions the tractor might suddenly tip over.
2.3.18 Falling objects protection structure (FOPS)
The cab featuring type-approved FOPS protects against any hazard deriving from falling objects. It is
recommended to install a type-approved FOPS when working with front loaders. The cabs featuring non-
type-approved FOPS oer insucient protection against falling stones, bricks or blocks of cement.
CAUTION:
This symbol means that the tractor does NOT fit a FOPS roof (Falling Object Protective
Structure) as standard. For safety reasons, all standard tractors ordered with no front
loader and without FOPS roof or simply featuring a roll over arc (safety arc), shall never be
equipped with a front loader or used with a front loader.
CAUTION:
3707, 3708, 3709, 3710 special tractors are NOT equipped with FOPS protection structure.
2.3.19 Attachments and accessories
To connect or disconnect an attachment, set the gear shift lever in neutral and engage the hand brake.
Use a slow gear for any movement of the tractor.
Hitch bar: This component of the tractor can not have the same function as a hitch fork and hence can not
bear any vertical load.
Do not overload attachments or towed equipment.
Use suitable counterweights to keep tractor steady.
The three-point hitch and side-mounted attachments form a much wider trajectory in a bend compared to
towed equipment.
Make sure you have enough space to turn.
Only use approved accessories and attachments.
Using a safety chain will help keeping control on the towed equipment in case it accidentally detaches from
the drawbar during transport.
Using suitable adapters, connect the chain to tractor drawbar support or to other specific fixing points.
Leave chain just enough clearance to allow to follow in a bend.
Contact your dealer for the supply of a suitable chain having a nominal resistance equal to or higher than
the gross weight of the towed machine.
When connecting or disconnecting an attachment, make sure nobody is standing between the tractor and
the attachment.
