2.3.23 Fuel Circuit - Handling waste product
Fuel Circuit
The high-pressure fluid remaining in the fuel lines could cause serious injury. Only authorised technicians
are allowed to make repairs.
Handling waste product
Incorrect disposal of waste could negatively aect the environment and the ecological balance. Potentially
dangerous waste derives from:
• oil
• diesel fuel
• refrigerant fluid
• brake fluid
• filters
• batteries
Use sealed vessels when draining fluids.
Do not use food or drink containers that might be misleading and induce drinking of their content.
Do not discharge waste in the soil, drainage system or water courses.
Air conditioning refrigerant fluids dispersing outside could alter the atmosphere.
It is recommended to have A/C refrigerants collected and recycled by qualified waste centres, especially if
so required by law.
2.3.24 Servicing tyres safely
Explosive separation of a tire and rim parts can cause serious injury or death.
Do not attempt to mount a tire without the proper equipment and experience to perform the job.
Always maintain the correct tire pressure.
Do not inflate the tires above the recommended pressure.
Never weld or heat a wheel and tire assembly.
The heat can structurally weaken or deform the wheel or lead to tire explosion.
When inflating tires, use a hose long enough to allow you to stand to one side and not in front of the tire.
Use a protection cage, if necessary and available.
Check tires for low pressure, cuts, bubbles, damaged rims or missing lug bolts and nuts.
2.3.25 Parking - towing - transporting
Parking the tractor safely
Before working on the machine:
• Lower any implement possibly connected to the ground.
• Engage the hand brake.
• Stop engine and remove key.
• Disconnect battery negative cable.
• Set a warning panel saying ‘DO NOT USE’ in the driving place.
