Cleaning the radiator
Burn hazard when performing maintenance on the radiator!
Can cause injuries.
► Stop the engine and allow it to cool down at least 10 minutes.
► Wear protective gloves and eye protection.
Dirt on the radiator fins reduces the radiator’s heat dissipation
capacity and can cause damage to the diesel engine and the
hydraulic system!
► Check and if necessary clean the radiator once a day.
► In dusty or dirty work conditions, clean more frequently than
indicated in the maintenance plans.
In order to ensure the radiator’s optimal cooling capacity, do not
damage the radiator fins as you clean them with a compressed-
air gun!
► Maintain a sufficient distance from the radiator to avoid
damage to the radiator fins.
► Use oil-free compressed air (2 bar/29 psi max.) to clean.
Water radiator A and hydraulic oil radiator B are located behind the right-
hand cover.
1. Stop and park the machine. Stop the engine. See “Preparing
lubrication”.
2. Remove the right-hand cover.
3. Remove dust and other foreign bodies from the fins with compressed air.
4. Install the side cover.
