Job Accounting – Submitting jobs
Using the 8825/8830 DDS with Job Accounting
Submitting Jobs from the Scanner
When Job Accounting is either enabled or optionally enabled
from the DDS
User Interface
, the user is initially shown the PLEASE ENTER ACCOUNT
NUMBER screen. Enabling or disabling Job Accounting
from the DDS User
Interface
has
no effect
on jobs submitted over the network.
If Job Accounting is OPTIONALLY ENABLED, the user may:
• enter a valid account number and press the Enter key, or
• press the Enter key directly.
In either case, the READY... screen is displayed, and the user may scan and
print copies. If a valid account number has been entered, all usage is
charged to that account and is also accrued under System Account 0.1. If
no account number was entered, usage is accrued only in the System
Account under subaccounts 0.1 (total system usage) and 0.3 (usage by jobs
with no account number.
If Job Accounting is ENABLED, then the user
must
enter a valid account
number before the READY... screen will be displayed. The message OR
PRESS ENTER is
not
displayed.
In any case, invalid numbers will be rejected, and the user will be asked to
enter a valid number.
