Managing the file system
The file system stores images in directories on the internal hard disk drive. If
the Job Accounting feature (explained in the
Job Accounting
section) is not
enabled, all of the images are stored in directory 0.1. If Job Accounting
is
enabled, then the images are stored in the directory for the account that
created the image. Managing the file system requires the System
Administration password.
List by Account
The key operator may examine the storage used by each account.
1. Press the Menu key.
2. Press the Next key to select SYSTEM ADMINISTRATION. Press Enter
to confirm the choice.
3. Enter the System Administrator password, and press Enter. The default
password is 0.
4. Press the Next key to select FILE SYSTEM. Press Enter to confirm the
choice.
5. Press the Next key to select LIST BY ACCOUNT. Press Enter to
confirm the choice.
The LIST BY ACCOUNT screen is displayed. The number of images stored
under each account (COUNT) and the percentage of total disk space
consumed by the account (SIZE (%)) are shown.
Deleting Images
The key operator may delete all of the images scanned under any account,
or all the images stored on the hard disk for all accounts.
1. Press the Menu key.
2. Press the Next key to select SYSTEM ADMINISTRATION. Press Enter
to confirm the choice.
3. Enter the System Administrator password, and press Enter. The default
password is 0.
4. Press the Next key to select FILE SYSTEM. Press Enter to confirm the
choice.
5. Press the Next key to select DELETE IMAGES. Press Enter to confirm
the choice.
The DELETE IMAGES screen is displayed. The number of images stored
under each account (COUNT) and the percentage of total disk space
consumed by the account (SIZE (%)) are shown.
6. Enter the account number for which you wish to delete the images.
Press the Enter key to confirm the choice. When prompted with the
message, ARE YOU SURE?, press the Next key to select YES. When
you are sure you want to delete all the images in the directory for this
account, press Enter. The images are all deleted.
