Stitch Alignment
Selecting the Stitch Alignment item on the SCANNER DIAGNOSTICS
screen displays the STITCH ALIGNMENT screen.
This is a protected
function; the diagnostic password must be entered for access. If you observe
that stitch alignment is required, call for service. The following discussion is
designed to help the user determine if stitch alignment is required.
The Scanner contains three cameras, each of which captures 1/3 of the full
width of the 36-in. (91.4 mm) scanner image. The view of the left and right
cameras must be adjusted to align with the view of the center camera. The
adjustment must be correct both for left to right alignment, and front to back
alignment.
Stitch adjustment – Front to back
The illustration below shows the effect of misalignment of the front to back
stitch adjustment of the three cameras. If the alignment is not correct, a
mechanical adjustment must be made.
This is a protected function; the
diagnostic password must be entered for access. If you observe that stitch
alignment is required, call for service.
