Engine unit removal
1. Remove:
Engine unit
CAUTION:
Before removing the engine, be sure to
take adequate measures to protect the
deck opening from damage.
Removal steps:
1. Extract the engine oil.
Refer to Engine oil change in Chapter 3.
2. Remove the service lid 1.
3. Remove the deck beam bolts 2 and nuts,
and then remove the deck beam 3.

4. Disconnect the negative battery cable 4
and positive battery cable 5 from the bat-
tery.

5. Disconnect the shift cable joint 6, and
then remove the shift cable bracket nuts

6. Remove the shift cable bracket 8.

7. Remove the engine cover bolts 9, and
then remove the engine cover 0.
NOTE:
Slide the engine cover rearward, and then lift
the cover to remove it.
