Cooling system
The cooling water is divided into cooling water for the engine and cooling water for the air cooler
assembly. The cooling water for the air cooler assembly is at the lowest temperature and it cools the
intake air. In addition, a portion of the cooling water for the engine flows directly to the oil cooler
assembly. This allows the oil cooler assembly to cool the engine oil with cooling water at the same
temperature as the cooling water for the air cooler assembly. The cooling water for the engine first
cools the exhaust system, which is at the highest temperature. The cooling water then flows to the
cylinder head where the thermostat, which is installed to the cylinder head, maintains the cooling
water at a fixed temperature.
