4.3 Cabling the fieldbus modules
4.3.1 Cabling Profibus module FI 830F
When using the power supply module SA 801F or SD 802F together
with the CPU board PM 803F, a maximum of 3 Profibus modules
FI 830F can be supported.
Use the power supply module SA 811F or SD 812F with software version
7.1 and higher for running a maximum of 4 Profibus modules FI 830F.
The Profibus module FI 830F is a Profibus DP master in
accordance with DIN 19245/EN 50170. It provides a serial
communication channel for connecting decentralized Profibus
nodes. All settings of the module are made in the respective setup
mask when creating the project. Profibus module FI 830F neither
carries operating elements like jumpers or coding switches nor a
bus termination.
The interface is electrically isolated from the system in accordance
with the DIN standard mentioned above. Profibus devices from all
manufacturers with a transmission rate of up to 12 Mbauds can be
connected to the bus. Note that the max. transmission rate is given
by the slowest node.
FI 830F pin assignment
The pin assignment of the 9-pin
communication connector complies
with DIN 19245/ EN 50170. Thus,
ready-made cables from other
suppliers can be used.
