3 Mounting the AC 800F
3-28
Special case
The special case is valid if either:
• the Ethernet has connections to other networks or
• other nodes are working on the Ethernet, together with the AC 800F or
Freelance 2000 components (process station, operator station, engineering
station) or
• more than 14 AC 800F are working on the same system bus (notice the max. bus
load)
• and the respective Ethernet module is plugged in slot E1 or E2.
In this case, set the coding switches of all Ethernet modules working in this network to
position 0. It is, however, possible to set the IP address as described for the standard
case for up to 14 Ethernet modules.
Set coding switches on all AC 800F Ethernet modules to position 0.
Fig. 3-14 Special setting
In the commissioning phase of the AC 800F, an individual IP address has to be set for
every station on the system bus. Refer to Section 5.4 for details.
Contact your network administrator for these IP addresses.
