6.1.3 Deinstalling an Ethernet module
1. Switch off the AC 800F.
2. Remove the Ethernet cables from the module.
3. Unlock the slide-lock to be
able to access the upper lock-
ing screw. Use an appropriate

4. Undo the screws on the module front panel top and bottom.
5. Remove the Ethernet module. Touch the AC 800F housing with your free hand,
either while removing the module from the slot or at least directly prior to removing
it in order to discharge.
6. Put the module in the ESD protection bag.
7. Protect the empty slot with dummy panel AM 895F.
Note that the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) will be im-
paired when the housing is opened. Removing a module or cap
(dummy panel) may reduce the RFI suppression and the EMI/RFI
shielding capabilities of the AC 800F.
