Functional description of LD 800P
The RS485 interface of the LD 800P link device (Profibus DP) supports all baud rates
up to 12 Mbauds specified for Profibus DP in DIN 19245/ EN 50170. The baud rates
are software-configurable. The two PA interfaces are specified in accordance with
IEC 61158-2 and permit baud rates of up to 31.25 kbauds. Activities on either of the
DP/PA lines are indicated by so-called token LEDs. The communicated data are
checked for errors, and detected errors are indicated. A separate power conditioner is
used for powering the PA lines. The termination of a PA line is realized on the power
conditioner.
