7.2 Profibus module FI 830F
Module FI 830F is a Profibus-DP master according to
DIN 19245/EN 50170 suitable for rapid data exchange with
decentralized peripherals (DP) in manufacturing.
The Profibus module FI 830F is both a class 1 DP master and – in
conjunction with ControlBuilder F – a class 2 DP master. No
additional adaptation of the Profibus structure is required for
programming and project engineering.
Profibus devices of up to 12 Mbauds and from any manufacturer
can be connected via an electrical isolation. The slowest node on
the bus gives the maximum speed of the entire link. A standardized
extension with the asynchronous V1 services is already available
in the Profibus software, the so-called Profibus stack, and can be
loaded at a later time, independently of the hardware.
• When using the power supply module SA 801F or SD 802F together
with the CPU board PM 803F, a maximum of 3 Profibus modules
FI 830F can be supported.
Use the power supply module SA 811F or SD 812 F with software
version 7.1 and higher for running a maximum of 4 Profibus modules
FI 830F.
• Exclusively plug the fieldbus modules in slots F1 ... F4 !
