5.3 Removal of the front cover
The input cover and the lens have to b e rem oved before rem oving the front cover. See p rocedures "Removal
of the input cover", page 79, and "Lens removal", page 182.
Necessary tools
Flat screw driver
How to remove the front cover of the projector
1. Check if the input cover and the lens are removed.
2. Remove the rubber dust ring from the lens holder. See the detail at the right side of im age 5-5.
3. Release the c aptive screw at the m iddle b ottom of the front cover, us ing a flat sc re w driver.

4. Remove the front cover from the projector doing the following:
a) standing in front of the projector, pull the upper right corner (A) of the front cover toward you until the latch releases,
b) pull t he lower right corner (B ) of the front cover toward you u ntil the latch releases,
c) then m ove the front cover away from the projector.
