Celerra Network Server Command Reference Manual
The fs Commands
fs_copy
Creates a complete or differential copy of a file system.
SYNOPSIS
fs_copy
-list
| -start <srcfs>[:if=<interface>|:ip=<ip_addr>]
<dstfs>[:cel=<cel_name>][:if=<interface>|:ip=<ip_addr>]
[-fromfs <fs_name>][-Force][-option <options>]
| -abort {<fs_name> | id=<session_id>}
| -info {<fs_name> | id=<session_id>}
DESCRIPTION fs_copy creates a complete or differential copy of a file system on the
specified Celerra Network Server. The copy may then be used for
replication or backup. A copy is local if a <cel_name> is not specified.
OPTIONS -list
Lists and provides information for existing file system copy sessions.
-start <srcfs>[:if=<interface>|:ip=<ip_addr>]
<dstfs>[:cel=<cel_name>][:if=<interface>|:ip=<ip_addr>]
Initializes a complete copy of the source file system, <srcfs>, to the
destination file system, <dstfs>.
The interface or IP address for the source and destination file system
can be specified. The <cel_name> specified after the <dstfs> specifies
the remote Celerra Network Server where the copy is to take place. If
a <cel_name> is not specified, the copy is local.
The <srcfs> and the <dstfs> must be mounted read-only and the
<dstfs> must be a rawfs file system type. Once the copy completes,
by default, the <dstfs> is automatically converted to a uxfs type
unless -option convert=no is specified.
[-fromfs <fs_name>]
Specifies a checkpoint to serve as the starting point for the differential
copy. Both the <fs_name> and the <srcfs> have to be checkpoints for
the differential copy. The first checkpoint, specified by <fs_name>,
has to be older than the destination file system <dstfs>. The second
checkpoint, specified by <scrfs>, has to be newer than the destination
file system <dstfs>. The checkpoints and destination file system are
all backups of the same source file system.
