Checks to perform:

E61: Heater Relay Failure

Heater relay stuck open or closed and defective wiring
WARNING
Check that all the connectors are correctly inserted
Measure resistance between the connectors RELAY
COM and RELAY NO terminals of the Electronic
control board . (See Fig. 1) Is Resistance value not “0”?
NO
Replace the Control board and repeat the Diagnostic
Cycle to check for any further alarms.
Replace the heating element and repeat the Diagnostic
Cycle to check for any further alarms.
Check / Replace the wiring and repeat the Diagnostic
Cycle to check for any further alarms.
Detach the connectors and measure between the
heating element and the earth contact. (See Fig.2) Is
Resistance value not “0”?
