6 Changing the Machine Settings
[Banner Pages]
Output banner sheets so that jobs are separated by user and printed matter is not mixed when multiple users are
using this machine. Sheets can be output before or after a job.
Note
When banner sheets are printed, they are added to the meter.
[Banner Page Offset]
Configure whether to perform offset stacking when outputting separator sheets (banner sheets).
[Banner Page Tray]
Configure the tray to feed separator sheets (banner sheets).
Tray 5 (Bypass) cannot be configured.
[PostScript Default Color]
Configure the default value of the Color mode of PostScript.
[PostScript Paper Supply]
Configure whether to turn on the Deferred Media Selection function of PostScript when selecting paper. To turn on
or off the Deferred Media Selection function, configure [Auto Select] or [Select Paper Tray], respectively.
A tray may not be selected as intended by the description method of the PostScript data when printing PostScript
data not generated by a printer driver. In such cases, configure [Select Paper Tray].
Note
The setting is switched to [Select Paper Tray] automatically if [Substitute Tray] is configured to [Use Larger Size] or [Use
Closest Size] and PostScript data is printed, even when [Auto Select] is configured.
[PostScript Font Absence]
Configure the processing when the PostScript font specified in the job is not found. If the specified font is not found
when [Substitute Font and Print] was configured, the font is switched to Courier.
If the substituted font is a Japanese font, the document will not be properly printed. To print with a Japanese font,
configure [PostScript Font Substitution] to [Use ATCx].
[PostScript Font Substitution]
Configure whether to use ATCx in font substitution when the PostScript font specified in the job is not found.
The ATCx feature prints by substituting a Japanese PostScript font that is installed on the machine when a job
specifies a Japanese font that is not installed.
[XPS Print Ticket Processing]
Configure the operation of the machine when importing a Print Ticket described in an XPS (XML Paper Specification)
document.
[LPD Print Queue]
Configure the order of LPD printing.
Note
Changes of [LPD Print Queue] may change [Receiving Buffer - LPD] automatically. For details, refer to "[Receiving Buffer -
LPD]" (P.116).
[OCR Font Glyphs (0x5C)]
Configure whether to print the character of “0x5C” using a backslash (\) or yen symbol (¥) when using OCR font.
