A classic adventure game
is the ideal scenario for
a system like Google
Home, which relies on
your instructions to know
what to do. It is normally a
one-way experience where
you ask Google Home to
do something and it is
completed for you, but in
The Magic Door you have
to answer questions in
order for the game to flow
in a particular direction.
Open the door
There is no setup at all
because the game will
automatically be available
and all you have to do
is say “OK Google, open
The Magic Door” and
the game will start. A status report detailing where you are and a
description of the situation you find yourself in will be followed by
your first question. The game will almost always offer two choices,
and all you need to do is repeat one of the choices for it to proceed
along the path you have chosen. It will flow in a natural way until
its conclusion. It almost feels like you are having a conversation with
your Google Home device because of the way it is programmed
and at no point will it be difficult to understand.
