matter how small , is unacceptable.
Descriplion
Th e la s er Measurement System will only meas ure the c omponent of distance or velocity parallel
to its laser beam. Thi s c omponen t can be repr esen ted by the long l eg of a right tr iangle with the
hypotenuse of that triangle representing the actual path trav eled by the opti cs. ~ See Figure 6- 13 1
This means that if an y cosine error is present, the laser Sy s tcm 's reading will be s li ghtly less than
