OPERATION
The best way to be come famil ia r with the la ser Meilsuremenl System is to si t down and " play"
with it. In the next few pages, you will be l ed throu gh the pro cess of gelling ac quainted with the
Measurement Display, la ser Head, Sensors, and Op ti cs, by setting up for and making it di stance
measurement .

In actual pnlctice, you would attach the la ser Head to the Tripod, using instructions given in
Secti on 4.

la ser Head in the appropriatel y- mark ed place. This wil l serve as a guide for mov in g theopties in
the exercises that fo ll ow.
3. Allach a st rai g hted ge to th e loca ti on indicated in Fi gure 2- 5. This wil l serve as the
measurement path .
