L ase r M eas ureme nt Sys tem was operating und er HP-IB c ontr ol, it w ill be re turn ed to LO CAL
contro
l.
While yo u continue h ol ding the R ES ET key in . the di sp l ay fills with " O'''s.
When you releilse the R ESET key, the l ase r M easurement Sys tem re turn s to the l as t meas ur eme nt
mode se lected be fore RE SET was p resse d.
NOTE
The R ES ET k ey d ea rs only the m eas ur ement data. H u se r-
se lected va lu es h ave been e nt ered via the M eas ur ement Di splay
unit 's ENTRY k eys, th ese valu es will I ,ot be changed by R ES ET .
If you pr ess R ESET while view in g a te mp era tur e se nsor va lu e. r eso lut ion nu mb er, etc., the
Meas
ur emen t Displ ay unit w ill return to th e m os t-recently-selected meas ur ement mode.
Th e RE S ET key must be u se d to cl ea r an y "Er ror" m ess age that was not c au sed by incorrect u se of a
S ET UP key. If the ca usc of such an e rr or is not elimin ated, pr ess ing RE S ET will cau se the L ase r
Me asurement Syste m to re turn to its pr eviously se lected mod e of ope ra t io n, a nd the s am e e rr or
m essage will aga in be di sp layed. Exce pt for a sensor-cau se d error, the m essa ge w ill r ea ppear
almost instantly; for a
se nsor-cau sed error. the m essage will take up to t hr ee seco nd s to app ea r.

Selecting the Auto Record Output Rate
You ca n se lect any time increment in the nominal range of 0.05 second to 12 seco nd s in steps of
0.05 5econd; however. the time increment yo u choose sh oul d not e)[ceed the Ill ax imum i np ut
rate of
Ihe li ste ning device.

RECORD
Pressing "0 AUTO RE COR D" tra ns fers data to Ih e liste nin g device at the
ra le of the slowest listening device. If a da ta sample ha s been
completely t ra nsfe rr ed, then at the e nd of a Meas ur em ent Di spl ay unit
update cycle. the upd ated d is pl ay v al ue w il l be he ld an d ma de av ailable
for tran sfe r.
