Repair
Tandem Pump
Removal and Installation
See Figure 6-38.
1. Park the mower safely. (See “Park Mower Safely” on
page 1-7.)
2. Remove seat and mounting plate. (See “Seat and
Mounting Plate” on page 9-16.)
3. Drain hydraulic oil.

NOTE
Mark hydraulic hoses to aid in installation. Close all
openings with caps or plugs to prevent contamination.
4. Disconnect hydraulic hoses (3).
5. Support the tandem pump (4).
6. Remove mounting bolts (2) and washers (1).
7. Remove the tandem pump (4).
Installation Notes
• Install tandem pump by reversing the order of
removal.
• Ensure new O-rings are in place before installing
hoses on fittings.
• Replace hydraulic filter.
• Refill hydraulic tank. (Refer to “Safety, Operation, and
Maintenance Manual” for oil specifications.)
• Install seat and mounting plate.
• Start engine. Check for leaks and repair as
necessary.
