Exhaust Manifold and Turbocharger
Removal and Installation
See Figures 3-17 through 3-20.

CAUTION
1. Park the mower safely. (See “Park Mower Safely” on
page 1-7.)
2. Raise the hood.

3. Remove four lock nuts (10), screws (9), and eight flat
washers (8) from muffler (11) and down pipe (6).
4. Remove four screws (3), lock washers (4), and flat
washers (5), and remove downpipe (6) and gaskets
(2 and 7) from turbocharger (1) and muffler (11).

5. Loosen hose clamps (13 and 17), and remove hose
(12) from turbocharger and air cleaner assembly.
6. Remove hose clamps (14 and 16) and hose (15).

NOTE
• Vent tube removed for photo clarity.
• Plug oil hose and openings to prevent dirt and debris
from entering the engine.
7. Remove the engine oil pressure switch (21). (See
“Engine Oil Pressure Switch” on page 4-87.)
8. Remove fitting (18) and disconnect oil line (19) from
engine.
9. Disconnect oil line (20) from engine.
Engine components will become hot during
operation. Allow engine components to cool
before performing service. Failure to follow safety
recommendations may result in injury.
