tape to the threads of screw (21), and
install screw.
13. Wipe oil from the end cap (20) and cylinder weldment
(22).

Seat and Mounting Plate
Removal and Installation
See Figures 9-40 through 9-45.
1. Park the mower safely. (See “Park Mower Safely” on
page 1-7.)
2. Raise and support the seat platform.

3. Disconnect the seat switch wiring harness (7) from
the machine harness (6).
4. Support the seat (1).
5. Remove four lock nuts (4) and flat washers (5).
6. Remove the seat (1), and route the seat switch wiring
harness (7) through the grommet (3) in the seat
platform (2).

7. Disconnect the wiring harness (13) from the auxiliary
power outlet (14).
8. Remove the lock nut (9), flat washer (10), retainer
bracket (12), and screw (11) from the seat platform
(8).
9. Lower the seat platform (8).
