Structure of a CE-typical drive system
The drive system (frequency inverter and drive) corresponds to 2014/30/EU: EMC Direcve if
it is installed according to the specicaons of the CE-typical drive system.
The structure in the control cabinet must support the EMC-compliant installaon with shiel-
ded cables.
Please use highly conducve shield connecons.
Connect the housing with shielding eect to the grounded mounng plate with a surface
as large as possible, e. g. of inverters and RFI lters.
Use central earthing points.
Matching accessories makes eecve shielding easier.

Inverters, mains chokes, or mains lters may only be connected to the mains via unshiel-
ded single cores or unshielded cables.
When a line lter is used, shield the cable between mains lter or RFI lter and inverter if
its length exceeds 300 mm. Unshielded cores must be twisted.
In DC-bus operaon or DC supply, use shielded cables.
