Third offset prior to text is the first two digits of the "MNC" code
, reversed. Example: For a network code of 123-456,
you would see "54" in this offset
Fourth offset prior to text is the last digit of the "MCC" code (digit #2 in the offset) and the last digit of the "MNC" code
(digit #1 in the offset). Example: For a network code of 123-456, you would see "63" in this offset.
Check the following offset and bit in 0032_0001.seem and make sure its set to ZERO for "from phone
"...offset 4B - bit
6: Alpha Tag Display (1 from SIM, 0 from phone)
If the 0032/4B/6 hack doesn't work, you may need to perform the 0032/02/1 hack to get your custom text to display.
So if I wanted to change the text from “Cingular Wireless” to” Bentley” I would require seven characters, so change the
first offset prior to text to 07. Then I would change the text to “Bentley”. And remember to delete Cingular Wireless
and any other carrier names that might be present. Also remember to delete leftover characters, for example changing
Cingular Wireless" to "Bentley" would leave behind "r_Wireless"...delete all of those leftover characters. Hope that

3.14 V3x split-skins (Rasputin007)
Question
: What are split-skins?
Answer
: Split-skins are normal skins, but without any main menu icons. All main menu icons are linked to the mma
and are full screen 240x287 animated only. This allows to have one mma with as many split-skins and main menu
look as you want. To change the main menu you just have to replace 47 gif files in e/icon on your V3x. Any split-skin
will work with one main menu, that means you have one main menu of your choice and you can change skins as much
as you like without the need to connect to PC. Because the main menu icons are not needed any more in the split-
skin, their size is much smaller and you can have 10 split-skins on your V3x.
How to change any V3x skin into a V3x split-skin and how to make your own main menu look
First get the
"V3x-split-skin-toolkit.rar"
.
Inside you will find
1. one mma_ucp that will work with any split-skin
2. one "e/icon" folder with 48 gif files (that is your main menu)
3. one "12icon-full_screen_240x287.ski" file, that is the S4M import module
4. one "Icons for split skin" folder full of gif files, needed to replace not-needed icons with 1x1 transparent icons to
keep skin size down.
5. a "Main-Menu-split-skin.doc/pdf" file that gives you the overview of the mma layout , main menus and
submenus, together with the linked gif file name, which are all in e/icon.
Furthermore you will need
6. S4M with V3x module (V3x for older skins, New-V3x for newer skins)
7. a competent gif editor, capable to create animated gif files
8. a filemanager to transfer files from and to your V3x, e.g. P2K Commander or Leader GL
To change any V3x skin, it does not matter if it is a 12 icon or 16 icon skin, you have to open it in S4M with the
correct V3x module.
