1. Manually edit the sc_data file with XVI32 or other SEEM editor. Every shortcut starts with XXYYZZ. XX is the
shortcut’s sequence number in hex. YY is a number, usually 06; ZZ is the assigned key in hex too. Every
shortcut ends with FFXX, where XX is a checksum that incrementally 1-ups when you set the next shortcut.
So you have to delete everything starting with XXYYZZ up to FFXX. Just fill the space with FF. it is 36 bytes
long.
2. Now decrease the enumerator. It is stored in seem 0157_0001. It starts with offset 0 bit 0. If you have 10
shortcuts you need the first 10 bits checked.
3. SEEM 0002_000x is kind of backup for the shortcuts where the X represents a shortcut. Deleting number 5
means filling 0002_0004 with a blank seem and unchecking 0157_0001 bit 4 and editing sc_data so that
05YYZZ becomes 04YYZZ and so on. (Note: Remember that when counting in hex, hex count 0= number 1;
hex count 1= number 2; hex count 2= number 3; hex count 3= number 4; hex count 5= number 4, etc.. So 0
(zero) is the first count, 1 is the second, an so on).
4. Upload the sc_data file and the SEEMS back to the phone and restart. Work done.

2.3 How to Change the Default Phonebook Category from “Friends” to “General

The default Category, no matter what it is named, is not editable on your handset. So the only way to change that
default is to modify the PBK_Category file, using XVI32. Here’s how:
1. Locate the "PBK_Category" file under the root a/ drive of your phone and copy to your hard drive
