Here’s a thread regarding SUPER settings from (Steve001 and RoccoHu)
(RoccoHu) I got my moto V3x two days ago, but i found a few seriours problems of it! Its about media function. First
this mobile spec in the moto website says that it can playback multi-format such as MPEG-4 and 3gp files, but what i
found was except 3gp files it can not play any others video format, no matter MPEG-4 files or WMA, when i tried to
play like mpeg4 it pop-up "File has unidentifiable information. delete?".
Second, however it can play 3gp format files but it can not play the better quailty 3gp files smoothly which i put into the
memory card (i converted my MTVs with two softwares, 3gp files from one of them can be played in the phone
smoothly but the quality was so bad, the other software make better quality 3gp files but the mobile just can not
playback smoothly), it always stop every few secons, but it will keep playing itself later, also sometimes it got worst and
it said "not enough memory to operate", it is really annoying. I think this problems might related to the software within
the mobile phone, i try to find new software to updata the firmware but the are not any new version of firmware within
Australia motorolar website. if anyone have any ideas please tell me...
I got the same problem downloading mpeg-4 from google video. I was playing around with "Super" (awesome tool, def
get it), and I converted the download into mpeg4, even tho it should already have been in that format. And I still got
problems. BUT, I then choose 3GP, put it on mpeg4 encoder and aac audio. Then put it on 30fps and 192 bits. NOW
all videos can play back and it looks so good. Like HD video!
(Steve001) Select 3gp (sony ericsson), output codec=mpeg4, audio codec= aac.
then video scale MUST be exactly correct or else you will get same error. In my case its default 176x144 works for me.
Then 30fps and bitrate is 192. You can play with those settings but after 8 hours of doing this, I got tired. Thats it.
(RoccoHu) Hey Steve! That stuff really work mate! Its good, the videos converted from 'super' can playback in my
V3x smoothly now. Although it might stop like half sec once or twice during some video playback, but its awesome!
4.2 Improvements to Video Quality and Camera Compression
4.2.1 Improve Video Quality (Ross)
Mod Actions: SEEM 004E_0001: offset 4AB. Default is 40. You can set to 80 or 100.
Or maybe better settings: (Also make sure you set “best” quality in the video options) BTW: These settings have been
confirmed to significantly improve FPS and video quality! Also set in video camera setup:
Quality: Best
Length: Maximum
004E_0001 Settings:
04AA = 04
04AB = 00
Hello, I am actually the person who posted this mod on the other forum. (04AA = 04, 04AB = 00)
I can definitely say YES, it improves the FPS MARKEDLY, and the video quality noticeably.
Note: This mod works ONLY if you are saving to MicroSD (Transflash). If you are saving to the phone memory this
