5.1 Positioning the DP2K-S series projector at port window
WARNING: The installation of the D P2K-S series projector requires at least 4 adult persons.
General guidelines
• Use a solid pedes tal to mount the DP2K-S series projector on to. Ensure that the pedes tal can s upport t
he weight of the
projector and that all feet of the projector are captured.
• The pedestal should b e p laced in front of the po rt window wall in a m anner such that the projector lens is at a minimum distance
of 20 centimeters from the port window.

Barco offers a pedestal for the DP 2K-S series projector. This universal p edestal allows for a solid and easy
setup of the projector. The universal pedestal support 19” rac k systems. (projector peripherals such as alter-
native content sw itchers, ShowVault, etc.)
Necessary tools
• 14mm open end wrench
• 17mm open end wrench
Projector centering
1. If the projector is standalone in front of the port window, center the projector w ith the theatre screen (see reference A image 5-2).
2. If an analog film projector is a lready pres ent (projector will be off-center), try to optimize aim (see reference B image 5-2).
Note: Unlike an alog film projectors, it is best to kee
p the projector lens surface as p arallel as poss ible to the screen, even if it
is significantly above the sc reen center.
Caution: The front foot has an adjustment range of maxim um 70mm . The back feet maximum 150m m.
