8. Communicator Touch Panel
8.1 Introduction
Communicator Touch Panel for digital cinema projectors
The Comm unicator Touch Pa nel is designed for multi-user command and control. T he Commu nicator enables us ers to learn quickly
and operate efficiently - using an elegant and flexible Touch Panel interface. T he interface’s commonality means that operators
can intuitively use any model in the product line, without restriction, and its user-friendly nature translates directly into a short and
enjoyable learning curve.

Flexible Touch Panel interface
The Touch Panel interface can be mounted upon a s wivel arm which easily fits on top of the DP2K-S series projector. O ne central
locking mechanism of the sw ivel arm allows instant fixation of the Touch Panel interface in any position.
The To uch Panel interface can also be installed further aw ay from the DP2K -S series projector. For this purpose an Ethernet c able
up to 5 0 m eter can be used to realize a direct data communication between the DP 2K-S s eries projector a n d the Comm unicator
Touch Panel.
The Touch Panel interface can also be connected via a Local Area Network (LAN) in the sam e way as the DP2K -S se ries projector.
In this configuration both devices can com municate w it
h each other as well.
The Touch Panel interface requires a voltage supp ly +12 V DC a nd 1,5 amper e. Note that the D P2K-S series p rojector has a 12 V DC
output which can be used to power up the Touch Panel interface. Nevertheless, the use of a separate +12 V DC adaptor ( 1,5 ampe re
minimum) is required in case the Touc h Panel interface is installed more then a few me ters away from th e DP2K -S series projector.
