7.3 Projector Status
About the projector Status Light
The projector S tatus Light is located at the rear end of the projector (Tail Light). The projec tor Status Light is real time indicator of
the projector condition.

Status overview
Depending on the condition of the projector the s tatus light may have 4 colors: G reen, Yellow, Red or Blue. Each color represent a
different state:
Blinking Green Projector is booting up. (Fully booted up when Test Pattern button is green a s well)
Green Projector is runn ing normally.
Yellow Projector is running with warnings. Event can go on but a technical intervention w ill be necessary in
the near future to p revent a complete stop of the projector.
Red Projector is in error state. P roblem could prevent normal operation. Solve the problem before
continuing with the projector.
Blue
Projector runs in notication state. Maintenance action required. Lamp run time is exc eeded.
New lamp must be installed.
Standby mode
In Standby mode the lamp of the projector is switched OFF but all the electronics of the projector r emain fully operational. The
projector is ready to ignite the lamp an
d project the im age. The status light is not different between S tandby mode and Lamp ON
mode (fully operational).
Sleep mode
If the pro jecto r is in Sleep mode then the status light ashes e very ten se conds. The color of the ash depends on the state of the
projector. In other words, the color of the ash will be green in normal state (no warnings, no errors, no notications).
In Sleep mode the total power consumption of the projector is less than 15W. No fans are turning and the Lamp Power Supply ( LPS)
is switched O FF com pletely. Only the following functionalities of the projector r emains active:
Cinema Controller
Local Keypad
Router and external switch fully functional
USB IN port type “B” (Virtual co mport RS232)
USB OUT port type “A” (To power handheld devices [500mA MAX]. No other functionality supported)
•GPIO
Pressing the Sleep button in Standby mode for 3 seconds puts the projector in S leep mode. In case the projector is p rocessing the
after cooling cycle then the projector goes in Sleep mode after nishing the after cooling cycle.
Pressing the Sleep butto n in Sleep mode for 3 seco nds will awake the projec tor. The status light will blink for a few second s (booting
up all inactive boards) and then lights up continuously.
Enter or leave Sleep mode can also be done via 2 dedicated projector com mand (USB /Ethernet), or via two predened Macros (not
editable) with G PIO, or via the Co mm unicator.
The pro jector alw ays boots up in the sam e mode (E.g. Standby o r Sleep) as it was switched O F F.
The Sleep bu tton is d isabled if the lam p is ignited.
