9.4 Set up E-CAM Data
9.4.1 Use PMsoft CAM Chart to Set up E-CAM Data
The relatonionship defined by users between Master and Slave is called E-CAM Data.
For describing E-CAM Data there are 2 methods:
îš„ Method 1: Point-to-point relationship on X and Y axes.
îš„ Method 2: Function, e.g. Y = f(X)
To obtain E-CAM data there are also 2 methods:
îš„ Method 1: Obtain E-CAM Data according to the measured point-to-point values.
îš„ Method 2: Obtain E-CAM Data according to the E-CAM Data function
E-CAM Data can be used to describe various CAM curves. After the relationship between Master and Slave is
confirmed, we can obtain Slave position according to the Master position. For example, the below disgram
illustrates an E-CAM Data of SIN wave.

In PMSoft, E-CAM Data is represented as CAM Chart. You can add CAM Chart or delete CAM Chart by
right-clicking at CAM Chart in System Information column.
