Filling Aladin cassettes
Remove the cassette from the machine before filling the cassette.
Make sure that the cassette remains in a horizontal position during
filling. If the cassette is tilted, the flow of liquid is shut off to prevent
overfilling.
Make sure that the valve pins on the back of the cassette do not
come in contact with the system or any other object that could press
on the valve pins and let gas out of the cassette. Observe the liquid
level indicator of the cassette during filling. When the liquid level
reaches the full mark, stop filling.
To avoid spray from anesthetic agent after filling, slowly
remove the agent bottle from the filling port.
Always remove the cassette from the machine and put it
on a horizontal surface before filling. Never try to fill a
cassette while it is in the machine.
Inaccurate anesthetic agent dosages may temporarily
occur after filling if the temperature of the liquid is
considerably different from the normal operating
temperature.
