Danger
Do not stack objects higher than
the front seats.
Do not allow passengers to sit
on the folded seatbacks while
the vehicle is in motion. Serious
injuries or death can result.
For folding down rear seatbacks,
see Rear seats on page 32.
• Place all heavy objects in the
load compartment as far forward
as possible.
• Secure objects to prevent from
sliding.
Movement of heavy objects
in the load compartment may
change the handling of the
vehicle.
• Ensure the backrests are
securely engaged.
• Ensure that all cargo is lower
than the rear seat backrests
(hatch).
• Place heavier objects at the
bottom.
• Do not place any objects on the
load compartment cover or the
instrument panel.
• Do not place unsecured objects
in the interior.
• Do not drive with an open
tailgate/boot.
• Driving with a roof load increases
the sensitivity of the vehicle
to cross-winds and has a
detrimental effect on vehicle
handling due to the vehicle’s
higher centre of gravity.
Distribute the load evenly and
secure it properly with retaining
straps. Adjust the tyre pressure
and vehicle speed according to
the load conditions. Check and
retighten the straps frequently.
