Power steering
warning light
The vehicle may have electric power
steering.
The m warning light illuminates for a
short time when the ignition is turned
on to show that the light is working.
If the m warning light does not
extinguish after a few seconds, or if
it illuminates while driving, there is a
fault in the power steering.
Contact a Holden Dealer.
Brake system
warning light
The R warning light illuminates for a
short time when the ignition is turned
on to show that the light is working.
The R warning light illuminates
when the park brake is applied. See
Park brake on page 191.
Warning
Do not drive while the brake
system warning light is on.
If the R warning light does not
extinguish or illuminates while driving
and the park brake is released, there
is a problem with the brakes:
• Stop the vehicle as soon as it is
safe to do so.
• Check the brake uid level. See
Brake uid on page 214.
• Do not proceed until satised
that braking is possible or that
the cause of the problem has
been repaired.
• If necessary contact a Holden
Dealer.
Antilock Brake System
(ABS) warning light
The u warning light illuminates for a
short time when the ignition is turned
on to show that the light is working.
If the u warning light illuminates,
there is a problem in the ABS.
Note
The vehicle’s brake system remains
operational but without ABS
assistance. See Antilock Brake
System (ABS) on page 190.
Contact a Holden Dealer.
Up-shift light
illuminates to indicate when to
shift to the next higher gear for best
fuel economy.
