General
The presence of oil under the flywheel could indi-
cate a
leaking upper crankcase seal. The upper
crankcase
seal can
be
replaced without disas-
sembly of crankcase. Refer to FLYWHEEL SER-
VICING
on
p.
128 for flywheel removal.
Removal
9.9/15 MODELS
Use Remover/Installer
Kit,
PIN
391060.
To
remove seal, install tip
"G,"
PIN
326270, into
remover/installer
body,
PIN
326271. Thread
remover/installer body with tip into seal to engage
metal case.
While holding remover/installer body, turn press-
ing screw,

342227, and remove seal.

Use Seal Remover,

Thread
remover/installer body into seal to engage
metal case.
While
holding remover/installer body, turn press-
ing screw and remove
seal.

Installation
ALL MODELS
To
install a new seal, apply Gasket Sealing Com-
pound to the outside diameter of the metal casing.
Position
seal on crankshaft with lip facing crank-
case
assembly.
