228 Chapter 27: Changing The Preferences
PRO1 Live Audio System
Operator Manual
3 Click Start. The server will take several seconds to start up. Once up and
running, the status will confirm the IP address.
You can stop the server at any time by clicking Stop. This will disable external control
of the console.
Important:
We recommend that you do not connect the console to an unsecured or public
network, as other users could potentially take control of the console.
* Avoid using addresses in the range 192.168.20.x, as they are reserved for console
internal communication. Netmask is predefined as 255.255.255.0.
** In DHCP mode, if the address you are assigned is in the range 169.254.x.x this
indicates the console could not find a DHCP server (and the server will not function).
Check connections and consult the manufacturer's instructions for your router.
Configuring the channels, groups and internal units
You can change the default name and colour of the input and output channels, groups,
internal rack units and GEQs of the PRO1 that appear on the control surface (LCD select
buttons) and GUI. This is done via the ‘Sheet’ screen of each item, which is accessible
via the GUI menu.
The procedure for configuring the VCA/POPulation groups is shown in “Configuring VCA/
POPulation groups” on page 73, and this is principally the same for each of the above
items.
